Sheikh Atiyyah Saqr(b. 1914, hijra 1333, Bahanbai in the Nile Delta, Egypt, d. 2006) received his education at al-Azhar University, graduating with the al-Alamiyah degree in 1941.
Alongside being a prolific writer, he was a consultant for the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf, (the ministry of religious endowments). He sat in various religious councils, such as the Al-Azhar's Islamic Research Academy, Higher Council for Islamic Affairs and Al-Azhar's FatwaCommittee.
Conclusion
He also served as a member of the Religious Committee in the Egypt government's People's Assembly.
