Le Temps (Tunisia)

This daily French language newspaper is circulated widely in Tunisia in print and available online. Printed by the major publication house Dar Assabah in Tunis, the paper was founded on June 1st, 1975, and features ten daily distribution routes between Tunis and major cities, allowing country-wide availability.

It claims and claimed under the Ben Ali regime to be an “independent” daily paper (quotidien indépendent) , though it was hardly immune to the exigencies of journalism under dictatorship and still struggles to achieve a “neutral” tone. Its editorial bent is arguably pro-secular and anti-Ennadha.
