Freedom and Justice Party (Egypt)

The Freedom and Justice Party was officially established on June 6, 2011, a few days after the resignation of the former Egyptian President Mubarak.  Dr. Mohammad Bade’, the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, said about the establishment of the party, “The Freedom and Justice Party believes in the ideas of the Muslim Brotherhood and adopts its vision in the field of politics. The party believes that the principle of Islamic Shari’a is the main source of legislation. The Shura, as the party believes, is the essence of democracy and a way to achieve the interests of the country. The party seeks to spread and deepen the ethics, the values and the concepts of the real principles of Islam as a way of living for individuals and for the society as a whole.”
