Al Ahram

Founded in 1875, Al-Ahram is the most widely circulating Egyptian daily newspaper. The Egyptian government owns a controlling share of the stocks of the paper and appoints the editors. The website covers information published in the nationally-focused version of the paper (Al-Ahram), as well as the version published for consumption and readership around the Arab World (Al-Ahram Al-Arabiyya), the Western-Europe/North America-focused Al-Ahram al-Duwali, the English language Al-Ahram Weekly, and the French language Al-Ahram Hebdo. The name of the English-language website for Al-Ahram is Ahram Online.
