Kamal El-Saeed Habib (b.1957) graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. Later, he received his PhD from the same Faculty. He joined Al-Jihad, and was sentenced for 10 years in prison for participating in the assassination of former President Sadat.
In 1996, he was put under house arrest for 5 years. He was one of the first Jihad leaders to start doctrinal revisions in 1986. He welcomed Sayyid Imam’s doctrinal revisions.
