Dr. Imad Enchassi is the president of the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City. The son of a Palestinian father of Egyptian descent and a Syrian mother, he was born in a Palestinian refugee camp (Sabra & Shatila) in Lebanon. Dr. Enchassi witnessed the Lebanese civil war, the invasion of Lebanon, and the massacre of the refugee camps of 1983. Dr. Enchassi immigrated to the United States at the age of 17 where he attended Texas Wesleyan College in Ft. Worth, Texas, Weatherford College, Texas Tech University, Southern Nazarene University and the University of Phoenix. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in management and human resources.
