Hossein Vahid-Khorasani

The Ayatollah was born in the city of Mashad, Iran, in 1921, and started his Islamic studies in the same city. The Ayatollah moved to Najaf, Iraq in the late 1940s.  He returned to Iran in 1972, and after one year residence in the city of Mashad, moved to the city of Qom. The Ayatollah became an source of emulation, approved by the Iranian religious authorities, in 1994 upon the death of Ayatollah Araki.
