An Islamic scholar in Saudi Arabia has urged H1N1 influenza patients to abstain from going to holy places. The fatwa (religious decree) by Dr Saad bin Nasser Al Shethri, member of the Saudi Fatwa Committee states that people who know they are suffering from swine flu should not go to crowded and public places, including the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
