Saleh al-Fouzan of Saudi Arabia responds to the question: If the unbelievers extend their hand to shake, should one refuse?

If they salaam (greet) you and extend their hands to you, then shake their hands there is no problem with doing so. As for you initiating the salaam (greeting) and the shaking of the hands; this is not allowed. * This is a wahabi opinion concerning social interactions and relationships to non Muslims.
