Grand Imam Dr. Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi, Sheikh of Al-Azhar issued that it's not permissible to declare unbeliever any individual or group previously considered Muslim if they believe in God, his books, his prophets, his angels, the Day of Resurrection, destiny and in the 5 pillars of Islam, except if this individual or this group of people declare themselves to be kafir (unbelievers).
