The Islamic practice is not to change the surname, especially if it is her father name. Our prophet's daughter was always known as Fatima bint Muhammad not as Fatima Ali. Similarly the wife of the prophet, Aisha is always known as Aisha bint Abu Bakar, not as Aisha Mohammad.
